Your Pondicherry day-trip from Chennai will begin at around 7:00-7:30 AM as our chauffeur picks you up from the Chennai hotel/airport as per your instructions. On our way to Pondicherry, we will make a halt at Auroville—an experimental township with men, women, and children from different countries and nationalities staying together, propagating the idea of unity, peace, and harmony. It is divided into different areas, namely Peace area, Industrial area, Residential area, International area, Cultural Zone, and Green Belt. The Matri Mandir stands tall at the heart of the township and is a must-visit site.
Before heading for the next leg of the full-day Pondicherry tour, we will take you for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we will visit the Pondicherry Museum and Sculpture Gallery that houses an exquisite collection of artifacts from the Chola and Pallava dynasties.
After a fun-filled full-day Auroville-Pondicherry tour, we will drop you back to Chennai in a private air-conditioned vehicle. This will mark the end of the trip.
