Day 1: Chennai—Kanchipuram—Mahabalipuram

Your Chennai and nearby destinations tour package will begin somewhere between 7:00-11:30 AM. Our chauffeur will pick you up from the Chennai airport/railway station/hotel and drive you towards Kanchipuram. Upon arrival, we will take you to the Ekambareswarar Temple that is spread over 40 acres of land and features a huge gopuram with a height of 172 ft!

Next, we will stop at the Kailasanatha Temple—a testament to the architectural brilliance of the Pallavas. Later, you will also visit other temples like Vaikund Perimal, Kamakshi Amman, etc. After exploring the temple town, we will take you to Mahabalipuram where you will check in at the hotel and spend the night in a comfortable room.

Day 2: Mahabalipuram—Pondicherry

In the morning, you will enjoy a tasty buffet breakfast at the hotel and then check out of there. The Mahabalipuram tour will start with a visit to the group of monuments that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It consists of clusters of rock-cut cave temples, including the Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Five Rathas Shrine, and Krishna Mandapam. After exploring the town with a striking old-world charm, we will drive towards Pondicherry. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel and retire for the night.

Day 3: Pondicherry—Chennai

After a hearty breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and head to Pondicherry with our chauffeur and travel guide. Your first stop will be the Pondicherry Museum and Sculpture Gallery—a place that houses several stunning antiques and artifacts that date back to the reign of Pallava and Chola dynasties. Next, you will be taken to Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple—a popular pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Ganesha.

After having lunch at your own expense, you will join us on our drive back to Chennai. On the way, we will stop by Auroville—an experimental township with people from different countries and nationalities dedicated to propagating unity and peace.

With this, your 3 days private Chennai tour will reach its end and we will drop you back to the Chennai hotel/airport/railway station for your onward journey.
