At 5:00 PM, our chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned car and drive you to the Dashashwamedh Ghat for the evening aarti tour. The daily ritual of a grand Ganga aarti is a sight to behold. The chief priests lead the religious ceremony by chanting mantras and hymns and lighting a multi-tiered lamp that looks absolutely stunning against the beautiful backdrop of holy Ganga and thousands of devotees. Accentuated with the magical sound of conch shells, bells, and other religious instruments, the aarti leaves a lasting impression on everyone’s heart.
After the Ganga aarti, it’s time to treat your hunger pangs. The Varanasi street food tour begins as we proceed to the popular Godowlia Market. Our tour guide will accompany you in this gastronomic journey where you will navigate through the narrow lanes of the city to reach a famous shop that serves a much-loved local drink, Mishrambu. This is a flavorful sweet and spicy milk-based drink garnished with dry fruits. After you have had the drink, we will take you to Kashi Chat Bhandar—a legendary chaat shop that has been operational for generations and is a local favorite.
Next, we will head to Ksheer Sagar—a renowned sweet shop that offers scrumptious sweets and snacks. Visiting this iconic place is one of the most sought-after things to do in Varanasi for a food enthusiast. As you explore the market, you will come across various food joints selling famous North and South Indian dishes that you can relish. For the last leg of the tour, we will make you taste India’s popular mouth freshener, paan. Once you have tried all the flavorsome dishes, the 4-hour tour will come to an end, and our driver will drop you back at your hotel for a good night’s sleep.
