Ayodhya Opens Its Sky Route: All Set For Takeoffs This New Year

The much-anticipated Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya is set to open its gates to the world by the end of this month. IndiGo, one of the country`s leading airlines, will start things off with a flight to Ayodhya on the 30th of December. After that, everyone can start flying there from January 6.

Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, holds immense importance in Hindu mythology and serves as a symbol of religious and cultural heritage. The inauguration of an international airport here is not just a feat in infrastructure but a celebration of the city`s rich historical legacy.

IndiGo is set to lead the way as the first airline operating from Ayodhya Airport, adding Ayodhya as its 86th domestic destination. The first flight from Delhi to Ayodhya will land on 30 December 2023. After that, from 6 January 2024, there will be regular flights between Delhi and Ayodhya. Also, from 11 January 2024, there will be tri-weekly flights connecting Ahmedabad and Ayodhya.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, shared this news on social networking site X (previously Twitter). He highlighted how these new connections between Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Ayodhya will significantly place Ayodhya on the country`s aviation map.
